Thriving with pubs, bars and even a farm, Ouseburn is a Newcastle hotspot for grabbing a drink with friends and family. The bridge in the photo is known as the Byker viaduct and is a whopping 2,674ft tall. The bridge is used for the Nexus metro system and lies between the Manors and Byker metro stops.

The bridge was one of the hardest parts of design for the civil engineers at the time, as it was built specifically for the metro system, but needed to be built around densely populated areas and in accordance to future road systems nearby.
